In front of my home ther was a proud poplar...I almost cannot recover,it's like I lost my best friend !
With the rehabilitation of our street so many beautifhl trees were cut...
Aureliaeugenia don't be sad! I also have such an experiance few years ago. When I asked the woodcutters way they do this- they said that they are cutting only the hollow trees. They are looking healty but they are not. Actually the poplar are very dangerouse for the people passing by as they can foll unexpectedly. Maybe this tree was such one!

Ahh I'm sorry to hear that! My rose bush was taken by the storm on Sunday. I was able to save a bloom at least and take pictures. :(
Yes, it's so sad when trees go down. :(
